One of the major events in Kalamazoo during the CRC is the 65th USA Boys 18 & 16 National Championships at Stowe Stadium on the campus of Kalamazoo College.  The quarter and semi finals for both singles and doubles are scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  With the finals slated for Sunday August 12th.

Once again, as has been the case each summer for the past 65 years, the excitement of the USTA boys 18s & 16s National Championships overtakes Kalamazoo, Michigan.  This tournament is the single most important event of the tennis year for the 400 outstanding juniors who arrive from all parts of the United States.  Ten days of intense, tough, inspired tennis earn for each of the ultimate winners in singles and doubles the cherished title of United States National Champion.  And as a testament tot he incredible tennis played here, the 18s Champions in Singles and Doubles receive an automatic bid to the main draw of the U.S. Open Tournament. 

The Radisson is one of the USTA host hotels for this tournament and there will be shuttle service to and from the Radisson and Stowe Stadium each day.  Tickets for the semi finals and finals will need to be purchased in advance.  If you shoose this even on your own (Thursday) or part of the companion activity (Friday), you will find some of the best tennis anywhere!
 

(Cannot be combined with Air Zoo trip)

A trip to the Air Zoo on Friday August 10th will feature shuttle service from the Radisson to the Air Zoo with departures at 9:45 am, 10:15 am, and 10:45 am.  Lunch will be provided at the Air Zoo.  Shuttle Service will return you to the Radisson at 2:30 pm, 3:00 pm, and 3:45 pm.  The Air Zoo is a one of a kind adventure for ALL ages.

(Cannot be combined with USTA Boys tournament)

The Kalamazoo Valley Children's Museum is next door to the Radisson.
